Our take
Founded by Mumtaz Khan in 1979 as a tiny Great Horton Road café, Mumtaz is now one of Yorkshire's best-known restaurants, with a Leeds branch, a national ready-meal range and even a halal baby-food line. The Bradford flagship is a 400+ cover dining room known for Kashmiri dishes, mango lassi and generous portions. The restaurant describes its food as halal and ethically sourced.
